Everyone capable of thanksgiving is capable of salvation and eternal joy.

I have been wading through Fr. Schmemann's For the Life of the World. I read this quote today, and then saw it again in this excellent Thanksgiving post by Fr. Stephen. I think I have always dismissed thanksgiving as a simple or cheesy idea, i.e. "have an attitude of gratitude." I think its time for a more determined effort at thanksgiving in my own life.  More on Thanksgiving here from Fr. Hopko.
